  2. BIG CITY¬ USER'S  GUIDE

  4. All documentation assumes you have a basic understanding of how to use your computer and the programs you have purchased for it.

  7. BASIC REQUIREMENTS
  8. -------------------
  9. Dynamic Graphics images require application(s) that are compatible with the EPS file format.  EPS images are saved using Adobe Illustrator as version 1.1 compatible files. Any other hardware requirements will be based primarily on the applications you use and the type of final output you plan to produce.

  11. For best results, your printer should be PostScript¿ compatible.

  13. USING THE ARTWORK ON THIS CD
  14. -----------------------------
  15. PAGE LAYOUT PROGRAMS:
  16. Open your page layout program.  Create a new document and PLACE the EPS files as you would any other images. The following page layout programs are compatible with the EPS file format:
  17.         Ñ Adobe PageMaker
  18.         Ñ QuarkXPress
  19.         
  20. DRAW PROGRAMS:
  21. Open your draw program and OPEN the EPS file.  The following draw programs are compatible with the EPS file format:
  22.         Ñ Adobe Illustrator
  23.         Ñ Macromedia FreeHand
  24.         Ñ Deneba Canvas
  25.     Ñ CorelDRAW!

  27. PAINT PROGRAMS:
  28. EPS files will be converted to bitmap images when opened in the following programs.  Upon opening, you will be prompted for the file size and dpi.  Make sure you choose the correct size and dpi for your finished piece of artwork.

  32. If your application was not listed above, please refer to your manual for compatibility.
